My Story

I grew up in the Pacific, steeped in the values of Aloha, the traditions of martial arts, and a sense of reverence for the land and community. I’ve come to the practice of mental health counseling because it is my desire to help people live joyful, courageous, and personally meaningful lives. I believe deeply that the wellness of our communities depends on the wellness of each person in them, and vice versa. I want to convey that your health and happiness matter; you matter, and you deserve a life of joy and satisfaction. 

 

Therapy with me is collaborative, holistic, and relational. I honor you as the expert of your life story. I take a whole-person, strength-focused perspective, and together, we take into account the dynamics within our own human relationship. I am passionate about working with young adults and adults in matters of anxiety, depression, career indecision, life transitions, identity and belonging, purposeful living, multicultural and intersecting identities, and post-traumatic stress. I use evidence-based approaches such as EMDR, ACT, and Mindful Self-Compassion.
